Clay & Conversation for adults (well-being course)
Clay & Conversation
Connecting through clay, creativity and conversation.
Sometimes our hands can help us explore what words cannot.
There is something wonderfully natural about sitting together, working with our hands and allowing conversation to unfold.
Clay & Conversation offers a welcoming space for adults to come together, experience the simple pleasure of clay and enjoy the companionship of others.
Clay is a wonderfully tactile and expressive material. It invites us to touch, squeeze, stretch, shape and experiment. As we become absorbed in exploring its textures and possibilities, we may discover new ways of expressing ourselves, reflecting on our experiences and connecting with those around us.
There is no right or wrong way to work with clay, no expectation to produce anything beautiful or meaningful, and no need for artistic ability.
You may find yourself making something, changing it, beginning again or simply enjoying the feeling of the clay in your hands.
Conversation is equally free to unfold naturally. You may wish to share thoughts and experiences, enjoy listening to others or simply find comfort in quiet companionship.
Facilitated by a Counselling Psychologist and clay therapist, these small, psychologically informed wellbeing groups encourage curiosity, creativity, mutual respect and the freedom to explore at your own pace.
The intention is not to teach pottery or provide group psychotherapy, but to offer opportunities for meaningful connection, creative play and personal discovery.
Come with an open mind, curious hands and no expectations.
Perhaps you'll discover something about the clay. Perhaps you'll discover something about yourself. Or perhaps you'll simply enjoy two peaceful hours in good company.
No experience necessary. All materials provided.
